Meet Glenda Dunn
Family
Glenda Dunn is a twin, born alongside her late sister Brenda Kay Mahoney, and is the youngest of five children raised by her amazing mother, Evelyn Mae Cochran. As a single parent, Evelyn instilled the values of strength, independence, and integrity in her children. Glenda’s strong Christian faith and work ethic are a testament to her mother's teachings, motivating her to give back to the community where she grew up.

Together with her three brothers, Glenda remains dedicated to community service. Her eldest brother, Gary Ashcraft, dedicated over 30 years to public service with the City of Hot Springs Police Department and the Garland County Sheriff’s Office before retiring. He served as Chief of Police in Hot Springs for a decade. The second brother, Tommy Garner, also served the community for 15 years before his medical retirement as a Sergeant with the Garland County Sheriff’s Office. The third brother, Danny, currently resides in Dallas, Texas. In the early 1990s, Glenda worked for about two years as a weekend dispatcher at the Garland County Sheriff’s Office.

Glenda cherishes her two daughters:
One is an EMT at Baptist Hospital's transfer center, while the other serves as a Charge Nurse in the ER at National Park Hospital. She also adores her precious granddaughter. 💖

Education
- Achieved my diploma from Hot Springs High School in 1984.
- Completed a diverse range of college courses in business, accounting, and management, along with specialized banking classes that enhanced my expertise in the field.

- Successfully completed several advanced Fannie Mae courses, including Appraisal Analysis, Analyzing Self-Employed Borrowers, Quality Control, Fraud, Risk Analysis, and Basic Underwriting—all essential for mastering the complexities of real estate financing

- In 1993, I earned the prestigious approval to directly underwrite loans for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Veteran Affairs, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac, demonstrating my capability and trustworthiness in the industry.

- Graduated from the Arkansas Bankers Association Lending School in 1992, further solidifying my knowledge and skills in lending practices.
Leadership
Glenda has excelled in numerous leadership roles throughout her career and in her community.
* With extensive experience in banking, she has effectively supervised staff, managing critical tasks such as hiring, oversight, and terminations.
* As a Quality Control Officer, Glenda ensured compliance for all secondary market mortgage loan officers, rigorously adhering to the standards set by individual investors. In her capacity as a Loan Underwriter for FHA, VA, and Conventional Investors, she played a pivotal role in the approval and decline of secondary market loans, expertly balancing the needs of investors with the requests of mortgage loan officers. Currently, she oversees a robust loan portfolio that exceeds $20,000,000, providing invaluable support to local individuals as they navigate their banking and financing needs.
* Glenda’s commitment to community service is equally impressive. She served as President of Leadership Hot Springs for multiple years, and also held the roles of Treasurer and Curriculum Chair, contributing her vision and expertise to the program’s success. Additionally, she was both President and Treasurer of the Garland County Circle of Friends for Arkansas Children’s Hospital. These large-scale initiatives demand not only strong leadership and supervision but also keen foresight and agility in decision-making, which Glenda has consistently demonstrated.
